No-Bake Creme Brulee

Makes 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 125ml milk of your choice
  • 20g cornstarch
  • 40g organic sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 Tbsp Rising Star Organic Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 200g heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp organic sugar, for topping  

Instructions

  1. To a medium pot, add milk, cornstarch, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until combined.

  2. Place on a medium-high heat, continue whisking until sugar is dissolved.  

  3. Then add heavy cream followed by vanilla bean paste. Continue whisking until fully thickened  then remove from heat.

  4. Pass through a sieve. Pour into two 7-8 oz ramekins (careful, it will be hot). Cover and refrigerate  overnight or for at least 3 hours.

  5. Remove and add a Tbsp of sugar to each ramekin, making an even layer. Using a blowtorch, caramelize the top until golden brown. Serve and enjoy.
