Vanilla Custard


Ingredients

  • 100ml heavy cream
  • 350ml milk of your choice
  • 90g organic sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Rising Star Organic Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 4 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp butter, room temp
  • Pinch of turmeric, optional for coloring  

Instructions

  1. Add heavy cream, milk, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla bean paste, and turmeric (if using) to a medium pot. Whisk together. 

  2. Place over a medium-high heat. Continue whisking, adding in butter.  

  3. Once thickened, about 3-4 minutes, remove from heat. Serve over apple crumble or desired dessert and enjoy.
